Star Exclusive: They Did It! Brad & Angelina Tie The Knot!

Star can exclusively reveal that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, who are expecting twins this summer, tied the knot during an intimate wedding ceremony in the couple's adopted city of New Orleans, Louisiana on Saturday afternoon.

As Star has reported, Brad had long wanted the ceremony to take place in the city devastated by Hurricane Katrina, while Angelina preferred a small, intimate ceremony in France. Clearly Brad won out as the planned ceremony took place in the French Quarter Wedding Chapel. The now husband and wife, along with their four children, are expected to return to Texas, where Brad is currently filming Tree of Life.

This is the second trip down the aisle for Brad, who ended his five-year marriage to Jennifer Aniston shortly after meeting Angelina on the set of their 2005 film Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Twice-married Angelina divorced actors Jonny Lee Miller in 1999 and Billy Bob Thornton in 2003 after three-year marriages to each.

For all the inside wedding details, check out the new issue of Star, on sale starting Wednesday!

G.I. Joe and Saw V updates!

'G.I. Joe' Live Action Movie Details Revealed!

The Incredible Hulk - Hit or Miss?

MARVEL: In this new beginning, scientist Bruce Banner (Edward Norton) desperately hunts for a cure to the gamma radiation that poisoned his cells and unleashes the unbridled force of rage within him: The Hulk.

. . . .

And on June 13, 2008, one scientist must make an agonizing final choice: accept a peaceful life as Bruce Banner or find heroism in the creature he holds inside—The Incredible Hulk.

*Emphasis mine

A new beginning almost ignoring the first movie altogether? For my veteran listeners, you might recall I told you there'd be another Hulk movie because Marvel can't let this franchise die. Well, a new beginning with a whole new cast and crew is a major gamble especially considering its "only" been five years since the first movie.

Indiana Jones 4 - Hit or Miss?

AOL: To hear him talk, you'd think George Lucas would have preferred to call his movie Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull: Don't Get Your Hopes Up. Lucas, who co-wrote and produced the May 22 film, can sound downright sullen when it comes to his expectations of fan reaction to the year's most highly anticipated movie.

"When you do a movie like this, a sequel that's very, very anticipated, people anticipate ultimately that it's going to be the Second Coming," Lucas says. "And it's not. It's just a movie. Just like the other movies. You probably have fond memories of the other movies. But if you went back and looked at them, they might not hold up the same way your memory holds up."

The remarks appear to be part of a larger strategy to build interest yet temper expectations for the fourth installment of the Indiana Jones franchise. Only one trailer is playing, and when director Steven Spielberg shows up for talk shows, he doesn't bring footage.

Lucas says he learned his lesson about unrealistic expectations when he revived the Star Wars franchise in 1999. "When people approach the new (Indiana Jones), much like they did with Phantom Menace, they have a tendency to be a little harder on it," he says. "You're not going to get a lot of accolades doing a movie like this. All you can do is lose."

Except when it comes to money. Analysts expect it to rake in well more than double its reported budget of $125 million. But Lucas says that doesn't hold much sway for him, Spielberg and Harrison Ford.

"We came back to do (Indy) because we wanted to have fun," he says. "It's not going to make much money for us in the end. We all have some money. … It would make a lot of money if you weren't rich. But we're not doing it for the money."

It's fan and critic reaction for which the team is bracing, but Lucas says he has quit trying to appeal to everyone. "It was really a blast" to make. "And it turned out fantastic. … I like to watch it."

Lucas concedes that it will be impossible to water down expectations, even among fellow filmmakers.

The Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan met Lucas at the ShoWest convention this month and says he's impatient to see the competition. "Come on, he's George Lucas," Nolan says. "I felt like I should have kissed the ring."

Way the go, "Fanboys!"

STORY: "Fanboys," about four diehard "Star Wars" fans who break into George Lucas' Skywalker Ranch in order to see "The Phantom Menace" on the eve of its release, wrapped production two years ago and has been stuck in limbo as a tug-of-war between Harvey Weinstein and the filmmakers waged over competing versions of the movie.

TMZ: Suicide at Mel Gibson's Place

A construction worker who worked in the movie business committed suicide at one of Mel Gibson's homes.

It happened at Mel's Agoura Hills home -- near Malibu. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ, 48-year-old Michael John Van Dyke hanged himself on one of the structures under construction on the property. He was discovered early yesterday morning by the job site foreman.

A rep for Mel tells TMZ the actor feels "terrible" that someone committed suicide on his property. Mel has never lived in the house and has no current plans to move in. The home is less than a mile from The Holy family Catholic Church, founded by Mel. It's where his daughter was married back in 2006.

We're told Mel did not know Van Dyke, although Van Dyke has worked on a number of movies as a set construction foreman, including "The Matrix Reloaded," "Dr. Dolittle 2," "Star Trek: Nemesis," and "Karate Kid."

Sources say Van Dyke was on the ropes after a messy, prolonged divorce a few years ago. He was having intense financial problems.

Watchmen

Why I haven't posted this up yet is beyond me! One of the most hotly anticipated movies is the book-to-screen adaptation of one of the best graphic novels in history written by Alan Moore author of V for Vendetta!

The movie wrapped up filming and is now in post-production.

Watchmen is slated to open March 6, 2009.

Angelina expects a BOY and a GIRL

Tom Clancy's CIA hero Jack Ryan to be reborn in a new franchise!
Who will play Jack Ryan? Too soon to tell. But Spider-man director Sam Raimi will head the 4 new installments to this popular franchise! Read the story here.

THEY'RE BLUFFING!?!?!?!
AOL is reporting that Matt Damon and director Paul Greengrass have signed on to do a 4th installment of the Bourne franchise. Personally, I won't believe it until I see it. Fans of the novels are probably disappointed the films have strayed away from the books entirely. A character named Carlos, an expert assassin, holds all of Bourne's secrets but was supposed to appear in the first film. There is a 4th book in the Bourne series titled The Bourne Legacy so if there is a 4th film there's your movie title.

Is this a bluff? Perhaps. I'll confirm it when more sources pop out affirming or contradicting the report.

UPDATED: "Horton Hears a Who!" Is a Hit!

FROM REUTERS:
Actress Halle Berry delivers baby girl: report

Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry has delivered her first child, a girl, People magazine reported on Sunday.
The location and the baby's name were not disclosed, but the report quoted a spokeswoman for Berry as saying that the 41-year-old actress was "doing great." The father is Gabriel Aubry, a 32-year-old model.

Berry, who won an Oscar in 2002 for her lead role as the lover of a white prison guard in "Monster's Ball," adopted the daughter of her second husband, singer Eric Benet. The couple broke up in 2003 after less than three years of marriage.

The AP reports:

Billy Crystal's "mahvelous" time with the New York Yankees is over. The team released the actor on his 60th birthday, one day after he struck out in his only at-bat against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

The announcement came at the bottom of the second page in Friday's game notes. Under transactions, it said "March 14 Released INF Billy Crystal."

The team gave Crystal, a longtime Yankees' fan, the opportunity to be the designated hitter and lead off in the first inning Thursday because of his ambassador-like role for baseball.

WB turns last "Potter" picture into two

The final "Harry Potter" book, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," will be adapted into two films, Warner Bros. said Wednesday.

Titled "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1" and "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2," the movies are set to be released in November 2010 and May 2011.

They will be shot back-to-back by David Yates, who is directing the adaptation of the sixth novel, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince," due in theatres November 21. Steve Kloves, who has written all but one of the "Potter" movies, also is returning to write the two-parter.

"Hallows," which sold more than 11 million copies in its first 24 hours of release, is J.K. Rowling's biggest book, weighing in at 784 pages. Adapting the novel would have resulted in truncating large swaths of it or making an extra-long feature in order to fit everything in.

The decision makes financial sense for Warners because the movies are surefire hits, and the "Potter" franchise has brought in billions of dollars for the studio.

The five "Harry Potter" films released to date make it among the most lucrative franchises, bringing in $4.8 billion at the box office worldwide.

It has been confirmed that the cast of the sixth movie, led by Daniel Radcliffe, will return for the final adaptation.

"Lust, Caution" actress banned in China

Tang Wei, star of director Ang Lee's latest film Lust, Caution has been banned from China! Why? For, in the descriptions of many reviewers, the violent, acrobatic sex scenes to which director Ang Lee "hinted were real."

Head turning stories (March 7, 2008)

"Black" Robert Downey Jr?!

STORY: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/showbiz/showbiznews.html?in_article_id=528496&in_page_id=1773

When I first saw this picture I couldn't tell it was Robert a.k.a. Tony Stark from May's big-budget film Iron Man. Now controversy erupted when news broke that a white man had been cast to play a black man's role on Ben Stiller's latest directorial effort Tropic Thunder.
Is this really something to be outraged by? Could a black actor pull this off better? Or is it brave of a white actor to pull off a black man? Well, he fooled me into thinking the dude in the picture is black!!

Anyone complaining about Michael Jackson pretending to be a white?

Tropic Thunder is set to open August 15.

She's still got it!

Here's a little glamor for you. In fact, here's more than you can handle. Catherine Zeta-Jones (38) proves she still beautiful and reminds guys like me why we envy Michael Douglas. He's 20 years older than her! Talk about the ultimate trophy wife!

*ahem*

Another strike? This time by the actors!?

I'm sure we all got to catch up on our favorite shows during the 100-day writer's strike. With the strike over we're finally getting fresh episodes of our favorite shows - but for how long? Here comes the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) strike! Oh, boy . . . Movies are being postponed (Maybe that's why Star Trek was pushed back by 5 months . . .). How long will this one last?

I'll keep you posted with updates as they become available!
